Matterport & Render3DQuickly WILL change the REAL ESTATE industry as we know it!

If you're in the Real Estate & Architecture industry you've probably heard about Matterport or maybe even seen/used their special 3D scanning camera by now.

A 3D camera made by Matterport

A 3D camera made by Matterport

The way it works is basically you buy or rent their proprietary camera (purchase one for about $5,000 USD) and scan each room of an existing home turning it into a virtual environment like this:

Once the entire home has been scanned the virtual reality environment is available online to anyone in the entire world. Literally anyone in the world can "walk though" the home and see what it looks like using a Virtual Reality headset! Yes, someone in L.A. can walkthrough a beach house in Miami....from L.A!

With the VR headset on, the virtual environment is turned into this view you see below which tricks the eyes into thinking it's actually standing in the room. The secret is that each view (left & right) is at a slightly different angle so the eyes think it's real!

Now, Matterport is INCREDIBLE for turning existing property into VR environments you can walk through, but what if your property isn't built yet?

Matterport does EXISTING property - Render3DQuickly does PRE-BUILT

We turn your plans into VR environments without you having to do anything. No cameras, no scanning, nothing. Just send us your plans and for LESS than the cost of buying a Matterport camera we can turn your pre-built property into VR in no time!

Why VR Will Change the Industry?

Like any new product, technology or service (think Uber, Airbnb, iPhones), if it saves time & money it takes off! Virtual Reality in Real Estate does exactly this and the ones that will benefit are the ones that jump on board early! It is predicted that within 5 years VR will be the norm when buying & selling property.

When will VR be in demand?

Think about this...before computers, everyone bought properties off of 2D black & white plans. After computers, everyone demanded the 2D plans AND 3D renderings. It is predicted that in less than 5 years (because technology takes hold so fast now!) people will demand the 2D plans, 3D renderings AND Virtual Reality walk through tours when buying property.

This WILL happen A LOT faster than you think and the ones that adapt the technology into their standard business practices will be the industry leaders!

"We expect a massive industry shift in the way real estate and architecture conduct business going forward with VR technology. We are very excited to be the industry leader offering this service to our clients. It is our goal at Render3DQuickly.com to always be on the cutting edge of technology. It is important for us to be the first to offer new, more impressive and more affordable ways for our clients to conduct business so that they are also the leaders in their industry." What you can expect from a full service project

Not too long ago we completed a full suite of services for a new development project being undertaken by Eagle Creek Church, a non-denominational Christian Church based in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Eagle Creek Church incorporate high energy music into their sermons and run exciting kids programs, and so need a lot of space to spread out in, and a church building that incorporates many different types of spaces.

As part of their project, to begin with we took their initial drafts and designs, and turned them into 3D renderings and a flythrough animation. Their designs went through several iterations. This is one of the beautiful thing about working in three dimensions, rather than solely with flat architectural illustrations. By seeing your designs in the colours and textures you think will work, you can tweak your designs in real time until you are happy with them, saving you a lot of money in wasted interior decorating!

Eagle Creek Church also opted for our 360 virtual reality option for their renderings. This option allows the project manager and their stakeholders to go an extra step beyond the 3D flythrough animation of the development. In our animations the motion is controlled by one of our rendering specialists. Imagine for example you have a camera on an invisible track running through a building. The camera can go everywhere the track goes, but if you want to stop it, slow it down, go somewhere else in the building then the animation needs to be redone.

With our real estate VR option however, all you need is a virtual reality headset (we're giving them away free until stock runs out) and you can literally inspect every corner of the development as if you were standing in a real building.

Below you can find the 3d animation we did for Eagle Creek Church's new development, a gallery of 3D renderings, and the VR file.

The 3D animation

If you just want a quick overall view of the proposed development, or have never seen a flythrough / walkthrough animation before - check out the following short video. 3D rendering software + the skills of our talented designers + your imagination is immensely powerful. Basically the skies the limit (and with the flythroughs we can put you as far up in the sky as you want so you can see your proposed development in context of its surrounding environment).

If you'd like to take a closer look at some different aspects of the exterior and interior of the building, check out the following renderings. Depending on your needs and budget we can design in varying resolutions (although we always aim to give you the best possible quality and value for your money). 3d software has progressed to the point where in some instances it's almost impossible to tell the difference between a photograph and a 3d rendering.

See for example the detail in the fire sprinklers in the roof in the men's bathroom, the glow from the lights in the main stage area, the shadows and reflections on the linoleum and more.

Finally if you have a VR headset and would like to take the virtual reality file of the Eagle Creek Church for a spin you can use the file below. You can either navigate through it in two dimensions, or click on the virtual reality mask symbol to go through the building in 3D. Move between the rooms using the arrows, and then explore however you would like!

The only service Eagle Creek Church didn't go with (because they had no real need for it given how interior focused their project was) were our 3D printed architectural models which you can check out in more detail on that link.

Hopefully seeing all the finished artwork of different aspects of a 3D development project has given you some inspiration for what you can do in your next project.

You might be surprised just how quickly we can turn work like this around, in a matter of days in some instances. And even better if you call or email us we'll get back to you with a quote in 5 - 10 minutes!

So give us a call on 1-877-350-3490 or email our CEO Jason (who also works personally with every single client) at jason@render3dquick.com

Have you ever seen a church like this?

On the back of our last blog post sharing an architectural animation of a wedding venue, we thought we'd share another of a church to keep in the same theme.

One of the things we like so much about this industry is we get to see so much creativity. We have worked on a church project quite like this before - it's really unique.

Many of our clients utilise 3D renderings and visualizations to give potential investors a taste of what the planned development will look and feel like when it's completed. Imagine however how much more buy in for your future projects if investors and others with a stake in the project are able to travel through a proposed building as if they were actually there.

3D animated architectural walkthroughs and flythroughs allow a person to get a sense of how big rooms are, where furniture fits into the space, and can clearly see even before development begins whether the project has designs flaws that can be rectified before ever breaking ground.

If you have a project in planning that you're having difficulty getting traction with, or where you want a higher calibre of buyer and investor consider a 3D architectural animation as well as regular 3d renderings. Contact us for a quote and we'll get back to you in 5 - 10 minutes: 1-877-350-3490

How Long Does a 3D Rendering Take?

The length of time it takes to make a 3d rendering is predominantly dependent on the complexity of the design and surrounding scenery

The length of time it takes to make a 3d rendering is predominantly dependent on the complexity of the design and surrounding scenery

There are so many things involved in creating a 3D rendering that is hard to say how long it takes just as a general statement (we're not called Render 3D Quickly for nothing though!). We focus on getting your project back to you as soon as possible, but we also refuse to take shortcuts on quality. So working with us you know you'll get the best possible rendering you can, but also in the timeliest manner possible too.

Let’s look at some of the things that can influence the time frame of your project.

The Quoting Process

This may seem like a strange place to start when discussing how long a 3D rendering takes, but it’s one of the first steps in getting your project started. We can’t start working until we’ve quoted your project and you’ve accepted it. Why does this matter in the time-frame? Even though our team has to manually look over your files and construct a quote, they can do so within 10 minutes and send the quote right to you. This is as close as instant as it will get, with many competitors taking 24 hours or more to send their quote to you. That’s an entire day or more that your project is delayed. And as they say, time is money that you could be missing out on in the way of buyers and investors due to slow quotes from other companies.

The Level of Detail

The main aspect that influences how long it will take to get your completed 3D render is the level of detail that your project requires. For example, detailed lighting, nature, and people do sometimes require more time to get the detail just right. If you’re looking for something very photorealistic (a rendering that looks almost exactly like a photograph), then there is a lot of detail that goes into rendering each pixel and generating the final product.

If your project does have a lot of detail, don’t be discouraged by this. Render3DQuickly is still faster than competitors when it comes to turn-around time.

The Animation

If you just need a still rendering, that will take less time than a render that needs animation. Walkthroughs and flythroughs require several frames per second to generate an interactive moving picture that gives you the most accurate representation of your project. Even though animating your rendering does take more time, our team is highly efficient so that you will have your project quickly.

As you can see, there are many factors that go into how much time a project requires. These are just 3 of them, but it does give you an idea of how much projects can vary. We can turn things around pretty quick at Render3DQuickly! That's why we have "quickly" in our name! Normally we turn around renderings in less than a week, 3-4 days is pretty typical, but sometimes we get a client that needs something in 24 hours. We can also handle this and turn it around in this time frame without sacrificing quality when needed.

If you're unsure if we'll be able to meet your deadline, the best thing to do is give us a call or send us a quote request. We'll be more than happy to talk through your project and let you know how long it will take.

Do You Offer 3D Flythrough and Walkthrough tours?

We offer a wide range of 3d walkthrough and flythrough architectural tours, from standard 3d renderings to full virtual reality!

We offer a wide range of 3d walkthrough and flythrough architectural tours, from standard 3d renderings to full virtual reality!

Yes, we do! CLICK HERE to see some of them.

How Does the Tour Work?

Our fly through/walk through tours are uploaded to a host site and you are provided with an access link to your tour. Regular 3d rendered flythroughs are animated according to a set sequence. However you have much more control over a virtual reality tour, where you can use a mouse to control the tour, turning left & right, forward and back, or any which way you choose. Alternatively you can also use a Virtual Reality head set and fully feel the experience of being inside the room or standing outside the property!

Why Would You Want to Have a Virtual Reality Tour?

In the past, people could only dream of taking a tour through the project they were working on. They had to do their best to create scale models and look through the tiny windows and doors and imagine how it would feel to be inside. It sounds strange, but it’s true! The technology that we have today hasn’t always been around.

We are lucky to be able to utilize virtual reality technology to put you inside the project you are working on so you can see it in as much detail as possible. You can feel what someone would feel when they step into the physical building for the first time. You can imagine what they’d do there and how they’d use the space. It’s truly remarkable.

If you want to really dive into your design and analyze it fully, simply looking at a picture of the outside or the inside just won’t cut it. You need to be able to see how someone would move around in the space, how furniture would be laid out, and more. That means being able to analyze the view from your skyscraper apartment, seeing if your hallway measurements are wide enough, and really honing into the detail of the space that makes it a real property that people will live and work in.

This technology is pretty new and pretty neat and Render3DQuickly is one of the first companies to offer this service. Ask us more about Virtual Reality Fly Through/Walk Through Tours by calling 1-877-350-3490, emailing Jason@Render3DQuick.com, or sending us a quote request using the button below.

Do You Offer 3D Physical Models?

Once we have created a 3d rendering of your development or construction project, we can easily turn it into a 3d printed physical model if that is what you would like us to do

Once we have created a 3d rendering of your development or construction project, we can easily turn it into a 3d printed physical model if that is what you would like us to do

Yes, we do! CLICK HERE to see some examples of our previous work.

How Are 3D Physical Models Constructed?

We create our 3D physical models using 3D printing technology. We start by creating a 3D rendered model of your building in our CAD software and then export it to our 3D printer, which can print in any color. We can print brick, stucco finishes, metal finishes, and virtually anything else you need to show.

For windows and glass buildings, we use acrylic sheets laser cut to fit into your model. Once the pieces are all 3D printed, we start to assemble them onto a board where we apply landscaping and other features to make it come to life and look even more accurate.

Sound like a lot of work? Well, it is! For this reason, the price of these models can be quite high depending on how large you need the model to be. Send us your drawings and the size you need the model and we'll reply back with a price within 5-10 minutes to make your 3D physical model.

Do I Really Need a 3D Printed Physical Model?

That’s completely up to you and your project. Keep in mind, though, that architects have been using 3D models for ages to help them in their design process. Once you begin to construct (or order) the real thing, any changes mean huge expense. Sometimes changes aren’t even possible if you are in the middle of construction.

A model can help the project come alive so that you can really analyze what works about it and perhaps what doesn’t. You can then use this model to show others on your team and in your company, and even to help you pitch to investors so they can see the project just as you see it.

You and the key players in your project can look at the layout of the building, how the materials work together, the colors, and placement of components such as windows, doors, landscaping, and parking elements to see if you need to make any adjustments before the ground is ever broken and construction begins. It’s a powerful tool that adds more depth and realism than 3D digital renderings do alone.

Having a project 3D rendered and then 3D printed to create a real, physical model is much quicker than trying to build the model by hand. You don’t have gather materials, worry about working in scale, or spend hours cutting out the perfect window. It saves time and gives you a final product better than anything the best architects of old could create. A physical model that you can hold in your hand in order to fully contemplate your design in three dimensions. If you think a 3d printed architectural model will help your next project get a custom quote today using the green button below!

How Do You Know What Colors to Use for My 3 D Rendering?

Your 3d renderings can have almost as many color schemes as you can imagine. We determine the color scheme to use based on your unique requirements and examples of other renderings you like.

Your 3d renderings can have almost as many color schemes as you can imagine. We determine the color scheme to use based on your unique requirements and examples of other renderings you like.

A complete 3D rendering requires the effective use of different colors to pull it altogether. When it comes to your project, you need to know that the colors used are complementary to the look that you want to achieve and that they are an accurate representation of what’s possible. It’s understood that you may be concerned about how a company chooses colors for a rendering. Today we want to share some information about how we use and decide on colors in 3D renderings so you feel more comfortable with the process.

Beginning the Project

When we start a new rendering project with a client, we ask them to send us a few reference pictures of how they want their rendering to look. They may have it all sketched out in detail or may just have a picture in their head that they have a hard time explaining. In this case, we ask them to simply do a Google search.

For example, if it's a living room, simply search Google for living room with modifying keywords (for example modern living room, contemporary living room, luxury living room are some good searches for the style you're looking for) and send us the image that best matches the look you're thinking of for your 3D rendering view.

If you're hiring us to do an exterior of a house, simply search Google for log cabin, white stucco home, or whatever the style is that you're looking for and we'll make yours look the same as the example image you send us. Searching for images on Google can sound like it'll take a while to find the perfect image to send us, but it usually only takes our clients 2-3 minutes to find one as there are millions available and adding keywords to your search can really narrow down what you're looking for.

When the Project Doesn’t Have a Clear Example

If for some reason, we don’t have a clear example of what you have in mind for color choices and style for your project, we can still do your 3D rendering in color and create something that you’re happy with. In this instance we can rely on color palettes or your explanation of the color scheme you would like to use.

The important thing to remember is that we have a team of professionals that create 3D renderings and work in the design world for a living. Our designers understand how to pair colors, what works for what types of renderings (and what doesn't), and how to read and exceed our clients’ expectations.

If, for some reason, your project comes back to you and you don’t like the colors that our designers chose, we can always revise it to create a final product that accurately represents your project.

We are confident that our professionals here at 3DRenderQuickly can handle all of your 3D rendering color needs. Submit your files today to jason@render3DQuick.com and get a quote in 10 minutes or less and you’re one step closer to having the finished project, amazing colors and all.

How Much Does a 3D Rendering Cost?

There are many factors involved in working out how much your next 3D rendering will cost.

There are many factors involved in working out how much your next 3D rendering will cost.

3D rendering is a totally unique service that is customized based on our client’s needs. Our team of professionals create a custom quote based on your needs so that you get the best price available, but because each of our jobs is completely unique we are unable to tell you how much your project will cost before going over your specifications. What we can tell you for sure, however, is how much you can save by outsourcing your 3D rendering project versus trying to take care of the project yourself.

Outsourcing 3D Rendering Saves Time

One of the most difficult things about trying to construct a 3D rendering on your own is learning the software. It takes hours of studying and professional training to get the basics, much less have the skill level that our experts have after thousands and thousands of renderings. They are always honing their skills and the truth is, an amateur rendering is no comparison to a professional one. Once you consider all of the time spent trying to learn the software and then construct the model, time that you could use to generate income in your business, you will see that outsourcing the rendering really is the best way to go.

Outsourcing 3D Rendering Saves Money

As if the time and knowledge issues aren’t enough, 3D rendering software and computer equipment that has the necessary specifications to run it and 3d printers to print your models (when needed) is very expensive. With a 3D rendering company, the expense makes sense because we take on many clients and many projects. With a company who just needs some 3D rendering as a phase of their business development, or a small number of renderings over time, it is not something that will prove to be worth the investment.

What Costs Can You Expect?

Each rendering we do for our clients is individually priced. In order to do this, we ask potential clients to send us their blueprints / drawings / plans / elevations / sketches / pictures. Once we have this information, Jason our CEO will personally have a look at your requirements and price your project in as little as 5-10 minutes. That's right! After you send us your information, just sit tight for 5-10 minutes and you'll have a price returned to your email - so it's virtually an instant quote. In fact we can often have your renderings completed before other companies even come back to you with a quote.

Wanting to learn new tasks and save money in your business is a good idea. The key is knowing when you can take on the work yourself and when you need to outsource. Once you factor in the time, skill, and money it takes to construct a 3D rendering yourself, you will probably agree that outsourcing your 3D rendering project really is the best option. So for your next 3d rendering project please send your project information to jason@render3dquick.com or use the quote form accessible by the green button below to get your quote today.

How to choose between architectural visualization firms

Helping customers envision their next new home or office is one of the greatest obstacles for architects, real estate professionals, developers and interior designers. An on location visit is an ideal approach to get a customer on board, but what if the development is new and has no current location? Your next best bet then is a 3d architectural rendering which will allow you to present the real estate development or project in a way that is as close to what the finished product will be as possible, while also being inspirational. There's a lot of rendering companies out there however, so how do you pick the right company to help? How can you judge an architectural visualization firm if you've never outsourced this type of project before? This article will give you a basic idea of how best to assess an ideal 3D Architectural visualization firm for your needs. Of course we'd love you to work with us, if you'd like to do that feel free to request a quote here.

what kind of rendering do you need?

If you're working on a business development like an office block, you'll want to look for a company that has an excellent portfolio of business complexes and buildings that are like the structures you're attempting to market to your customers. If you offer houses or apartment suites, search for a rendering company who has previously worked on similar projects. Take into account whether your development is rural or residential. What country is your development in? Ensure the company has knowledge of the type of nature and landscapes in your area, as well comprehending what the general population in that city dress like, the type of cars they drive etc. In this way you will get an end result which is congruent with the environment the work will be built in. This might seem like a little thing, but if something is off about the rendering even in a small way, it can have a subconscious effect on the viewer which will has the potential to cause them to decide not to work with you.

When we were developing Render 3D Quickly we made it a priority to source 3d designers from around the world at the top of their game. So no matter what type of rendering you need or for which location we can match your project to a specialist who will be perfect for your project.

The best Value at the right Price

While it's a bad idea to choose a company solely on their rates (pick the cheapest you'll get the cheapest), you obviously want make sure any quote you're being given is competitive. Look at people's reviews (from real clients, they often feel off when they're fake). Often super high end renderings will be overkill for your project based on the law of diminishing returns. But also try to avoid employing cheap inexperienced firms as it will cost you more in the long term when you need to hire another company to fix the first companies mistakes. We provide an excellent level of quality in our renderings at some of the most competitive prices around. You're welcome to ask to see more of our work at anytime if you would like to and we can tell you how expensive they were to create.

good customer service

Business is not fun when you're dealing with angry, rude or arrogant people. Look for a company who provides excellent customer service, who understand your project needs (there should be no need for escalating project costs) and is easy to work with across iterations of your renderings. Working with a company who understands you and your project and vice versa will spare both of you effort and time and expense in the long run.

TURNAROUND TIME

One of the things our clients like the most about our service is the speed with which we can provide high quality renderings (we're not called Render 3D Quickly for nothing!). Once you request a quote we will get back to you in 5 - 10 minutes. We can often have your renderings finished before our competitors have even got back to you with a quote!
